Looking to park your bike safely? You can do so at many locations in Berlin and Brandenburg—but not everywhere in the same way. ParkYourBike offers different booking systems for the two regions. These differences result in different tariffs.
Here, you’ll find clear and easy-to-understand information on what to expect where.
Berlin: ParkYourBike – one price, one access
In Berlin, you always park in our own ParkYourBike facilities. They belong to us and are operated entirely by us. Everything runs the same way here.
How parking works in Berlin
• Via the ParkYourBike app or website: You reserve a bike parking slot at your desired location or ride your bike directly to the facility and unlock it via the app or at the terminal to park your bike.
• Flexible tariffs: If you park on the Flex Tariff, the first 24 hours are always free; if you park longer, you pay for the exact time your bike is in the facility—€0.70 per additional day. The maximum parking duration is 21 days. Charges for the Flex Tariff are always billed at the end of the month after you finish parking. If you want to stay flexible, you can also purchase a season ticket (monthly or annual). Prices are the same at all Berlin facilities.
• Permanent access PIN: You will receive a single personal PIN. It is valid indefinitely and works at all Berlin facilities. You can find your PIN and QR code under “Access” and the “Berlin” tab in your ParkYourBike app.
Berlin at a glance:
• Payment based on parking time or with a season ticket
• One permanent access code (PIN) for all Berlin facilities
• No pricing differences between districts or locations
Brandenburg: RadPark and Co. – operated and priced by local municipalities
Things are a bit different in Brandenburg. The facilities aren’t owned by ParkYourBike. They’re either VBB RadPark facilities, operated by the respective municipalities, or facilities run by external operators.
This is exactly why booking durations and prices vary from place to place.
Here’s how booking works in Brandenburg
• Each municipality sets its own price: That’s why the same booking duration might cost a different amount in Wustermark than in Dahlewitz or Cottbus.
• Access TAN and QR code per booking: You’ll receive a new, individual access code and a QR code for each booking. Unlike in Berlin, there’s no permanent code. You can find your access code and QR code under “Access” and the “Brandenburg” tab.
• Bookings expire automatically – remember to extend: When you book, you select the desired booking period in advance and pay for it immediately. If you decide you want to park your bike for longer, simply extend your booking (while it is still valid).
Brandenburg at a glance:
• Different prices depending on the municipality
• Each booking generates a new access TAN/QR code
• Bookings expire automatically and can be extended
What does this mean for your planning?
• If you’re out and about in Berlin: You park flexible, pay a standard tariff, and use your permanent access code at every facility.
• If you’re parking in Brandenburg: Check the location in advance—prices, booking durations, and access codes may vary. You can find all the information in the ParkYourBike app.
Tips:
• If you always park in the same region, you can mark it as a favorite under the Access menu item by clicking the pin in the tab for your desired region.
• In the ParkYourBike app, you can quickly find all Berlin and Brandenburg facilities under Locations. They are distinguished by the color of the pin.
• You can also find overviews of Berlin and Brandenburg on our website.
